Historical Mumbo Jumbo:
The history of this magnificent quintet of destruction and doom that is ThunderTone started all the way back in the year two thousand and three, when musical genii, Jason, Alex and Seb and sometimes Nick came together and shared their ideas about their growing desire for a Rock band. Soon enough a dynamic instrumental trio emerged under the name Curl Up & DIE. Their first triumphant song written under the old name of Voodoo Warrior, gave them hope for more, sadly they only practiced once or twice a year and could only play two songs and one lame ass surf song that made everybody willing to rip out their intestines and shove them in the ears before listening to one more cheesy note exuding from that horrible « song »…I’m not sorry Seb. However in full beginning of their IB course in October of two thousand and six, a new member was added after figuring out that Jason was also a co-master of the universe on guitar, His name would bare all that is evil, he was born to make children cry and old people die. His name is Dafydd Crisp. The mere mentioning of his name threw chills down the bands spines. Seb, Jason, Nick and Alex knew the one thing to get their band out of the metaphorical hole it was in. Mr. Crisp played drums, and was now member of a band with no name. Ideas for band names popped out of their heads, only to be thrown down into the gutter. Alex came up with a name he thought was brilliant, The Undertone. In a loud cafeteria during a school break this was misunderstood by the rest of the band as the present name and all decided to go along with ThunderTone. Then a new crazy addition was made to their song Still Life, Eliot’s extreme death overkill voice was of use and mayhem occurred once again. Now the band has written several songs and can play almost 10 songs, if I were you, I’d be jealous as hell. In addition to our story, which should one day be written in stone, the peak of the bands creativity is beginning and forecasts say it is expected to run as long and intense as the simpsons.
